☀️ Beat the Heat This Summer
Iowa has experienced some extremely hot temperatures this summer, making it even more important to prioritize heat safety. Long hours in the field can quickly lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, or heat stroke if precautions aren't taken.
Remember to:
- 💧 Drink water frequently throughout the day, even before you feel thirsty.
- 🧢 Wear lightweight, breathable clothing and protect yourself from the sun.
- 🌳 Take breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas whenever possible.
- 🤝 Watch for signs of heat illness in your coworkers and technicians.
- ⚠️ If someone experiences dizziness, confusion, nausea, or stops sweating, seek medical attention immediately.
Taking a few extra minutes to cool down and hydrate can make all the difference. Your health and safety always come first.
