As we move into March, the pest management season in Iowa is right around the corner. Warmer temperatures are on the horizon, which means homeowners and businesses will soon start seeing increased pest activity. Now is the perfect time to make sure your company is prepared for the busy spring season.

This month we’re highlighting an upcoming training opportunity, sharing tips for preparing your company for the busy season, and keeping members connected with what’s happening across the Iowa pest management industry.

Preparing for the Busy Spring Season

As the weather warms up, pest activity and customer calls will begin ramping up quickly. March is a great time for owners and managers to make sure their teams are ready.

A few quick reminders before the spring rush:

Check equipment

Inspect sprayers, power dusters, and other equipment to ensure everything is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly.

Review technician training

Take time to review treatment protocols, safety procedures, and label updates before schedules start filling up.

Stock inventory

Make sure commonly used products and materials are fully stocked so technicians aren’t scrambling once demand increases.

Prepare your schedule

Spring can bring sudden spikes in service calls. Making sure office staff and technicians are ready for increased workloads will help everything run smoothly.

A little preparation now can make a huge difference once the season gets busy.

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up on March 17!

Whether you celebrate with corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread, or a green drink after work, we hope everyone takes a little time to enjoy the holiday.
