April 2026 Newsletter

Spring is officially here, and with warmer temperatures arriving across Iowa, pest season is beginning to ramp up. This time of year brings increased demand, busy schedules, and new opportunities for pest management professionals across the state.

As we head into the busy season, the Iowa Pest Management Association is here to support our members and help everyone start the season strong.

Thank You for Attending the Mosquito Training

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who attended last month’s Mosquito Training. It was a great turnout and an excellent opportunity for learning, networking, and preparing for the upcoming mosquito season.

A special thank you to Dr. Stan Cope for delivering such an outstanding and informative lecture. His knowledge and experience provided valuable insight that attendees can take back to their teams and apply throughout the season.

We would also like to extend a big thank you to Robert Hughes with Pro-Staff for planning and organizing this event, as well as RE/MAX Concepts for generously hosting the training.

It was a great training this year, and we’re already looking forward to what’s in store for next year.

Spring Has Arrived! Bug Season Is Beginning!

Spring is in full bloom, which means pest activity is increasing and schedules are filling up quickly across Iowa. The start of the busy season can be exciting, but it can also be stressful as demand increases.

Remember, the Iowa Pest Management Association is here to help. Whether you're an owner, operator, technician, or office staff member, IPMA can be used as a resource for:

  • Pest identification
  • Treatment recommendations
  • Pesticide questions
  • Industry best practices
  • General support from fellow professionals

If we don’t have the answer directly, we can help connect you with someone in the industry who does. We are all about helping our own, and we understand how demanding the start of the busy season can be.
